actually I have seen that.
I think it is a windows 10 security thing.
the first time you load the system dlls, it seem windows goes trough a long process caching them.
one thing you could do, is to build the newton dll and set NEWTON_STATIC_RUNTIME_LIBRARIES in cmake
this will link all the windows runtime libs statically, it will make a bigger dll, but will not depend of the system dlls.
my guess they do now to prevent hackers from changing dlls.

Ah interesting.
On another note I might be back with questions on adapting my mesh import code but I am working through it for now
