Yes it is, but I am a registered developer and I can find it quite useful :) Perhaps others too.

That's OK if you are a register developer, but I am not, so it will be illegal for me to write code for it without licence.

I would love to port the engine, the PSP is really cool and fast, and newton will work perfect in the Vectot unit.
How did you come to be a registered developer? what do one has to do?

Of course I'm not suggesting anything illegal. To become Sony's registered developer and have access to hardware development kits and sdk, you must apply your company at this url: https://www.tpr.scee.net/AreaNewLicense ... 20LICENSEE
I think you should click in the "Other" radio button and select then "Tools & Middleware". If write a good document explaining your project to Sony through that web, I think you will have a lot of chances of being accepted, but in the worst case, you dont lose anything trying it and you can open a new market for you (Sony's consoles, not only PSP. Think in Newton Dynamics running in several Cell's SPUs :) )

Also I think it worths to try the incoming Nintendo's 3DS. I'm not a nintendo registered developer, but I'll try to become in a close future.

P.D: I really think that seeying ND in handheld consoles would be fantastic :)
Hope this helps :)

Thats proberly the main problem. Julio doesn't have a company, so Sony properly wouldn't grant a license as Julio would just be considered a hobbyist.

Such restricting platforms like PSP do not deserve to have some amazing library like newton.

Your right. Its self destructive to restrict what can be on any platform. Things that are open to anyone(I mean access rather than source) generally have loads of apps developed for it and the platform does well as a result.

Sorry, I didn't wanted to go against forum rules (but I did unconciously) I should used another example, out if this matter, like any other Open Source lib (for instance, Freeimage) but I choosen a bad example. I read the forum rules again and I this wont happen again. Close this thread if you want please, because what I'd asked in the first time is already answered.
