I'm interested in setting up this engine so that it can be accessed via a php script, running perhaps, on ubuntu. Anyone up for joining in? I have no knowledge of C, and therefore no idea how to set this all up to actually even run on linux - never mind provide functionality to PHP.

One could build a webservice for newton and call that from php.. but why on the earth would you want to run physics simulation on the server?

Long story... but i'm thinking of creating a persistent state environment with the movement and object position calculations done on the server side. A web service would be perfect... any tips on how to do that?
