In late 90's with VS 5 and 6 there was a very popular set of external tool that you can use to track memory leaks, memory corruption, potential bugs in code, and even profile the code.
there were a separate set of tool but I forget the name, and I do not find anything like now.
does anyone knows about a tool the can instrument code for tacking for tracking memory corruption Bugs.
I read about Valgrin, but that only work with Linux and Mac, I am is need of a similar tool for visual studios windows.
I am not interested in the leak part but is the memory corruption part.

Hey that looks very promising, I will give it a try.
I remember that in teh time of teh wacom compiler ther was a debugging tool called ICE,
that allow for you to set break point in a range of memory and you could track when the memory was overwriten by any other proccess.
but I can not find any of those tools anymore, some time I miss the simpler time.
anyway I will check that tool out,
Thankyou

wow that tool seems quite horrendous, I mess up with the computer setting, it integrate real bad with VS, in fact is does not integrate at all.
and I still can only see the profiler functions, I have Vtune, I do not need another profiler and need a Code Coverage tool that can track potential memory overrun in a piece of code.
There got to be something better than that tool.
I do not know why there are not tool like that anymore, I remover there net was full of them and now they all disappeared.

You are, but programs are not by default run with administrator privileges. Right click on the application and choose "Run as administrator".
