Newton editor icons

Postby kallaspriit » Sun Jul 25, 2010 4:03 am

Some tips for NewtonEdit. For good free icons, I suggest using http://iconfinder.com.

For example, some icons to replace currently used ones:

Pan

Rotate

Scale

Select

Zoom

Move

Undo

Camera

I suggest using PNG's instead of BMP's for good quality and alpha transparency (so they work on gradient background etc).

Hope these are of some help to make the UI of the editor look good :)

wow those icons looks very, very nice. I will definitlly give them a try. :D
The one in the editor I made then in Visual studio in the icon editor. But it really * to work that way with and pixel editor.
I really respect people that can make this stuff, because I have no clue hwo to make an icon that look decent.

I made some progress this weeked,
now I can move and rotate objects, it also load and save skin and non skin meshes.
as soon as I get these I will replace some of the icons, and I will post a preview.
Even in this easlly stage I can see how having a general porpuse editor help to make thongs betters.
but man it takes a lot of work to make a decent editor.

You may need to credit people if you use there icons, so you should always check to see what the license agreement is before using any images.
