Convex cast against scene collision fails

I have a game level consisting of multiple box collisions (see http://newtondynamics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6498). Previously all boxes were added into a compound collision. After I changed to use scene collision instead, all convex casts against boxes stopped working.

The scene collision itself seems to be working right, since other bodies collide with it as they should. Convex cast just does not find any contacts.

I'm currently using Newton version 2.33 on 32-bit Linux. There's an attachment with quick and dirty sample code that reproduces the behavior.
