How to stop newton allowing character out of bounds

I watched a video where a guy abuses the game Amnesia dark descent and clips out of bounds all the time, why is this possible?
Is it possible to make sure that the character can never glitch out of bounds or is it a flaw in newton?

I do not know, I have not seem that. Maybe it was a problem with the version of newton use for that game.
