Can we use NGD without Newton.cpp?

Postby arkdemon » Sat Nov 08, 2014 2:08 pm

Hello everyone!
I haven't been active for quite some time (one or two months) and I am impressed by the changes of the forum! Such a cool website now  (now it reflects how great newton is :3 even if it will never be a match for it 8) )

So I started a new project and I found a 'bug' or whatever you call it (problem with NewtonCreateBox - will create a post explaining the issue) and I tried to locate it. In the process of finding it, I realized that Newton uses a bunch of dgxxx classes that we never use directly(I was aware of it before, but it didn't strike me).

My question: Can we use this (powerful) lib without using Newton.cpp but with the classes directly? or is there something secret and mysterious I don't know about?

Thank you for your replies!

you can yes. I was using it li eth for a long time.
But many people has a difficult time with C++ classes so I added the Newton C. Now it has being so long tat I myself use Newton.h

but yes there is nothing that prevent anyone from using the C++ classes.
