I'm trying to figure out what the best way to load meshes into Newton is. There are a number of functions in Newton.h that look promising, but lack documentation (e.g. NewtonMeshCreateFromSerialization). There's also the option of simply iterating over the vertices and calling NewtonMeshAddPoint, but again the lack of documentation makes it difficult to tell how best to do that.
Ultimately, I want to write a shim that will let Newton load meshes (and scenes) from Asset Importer (assimp.org) which would then let Newton work with just about any open format in existence.
