How install Newton on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit?

Postby SuperNoa » Sat Apr 03, 2010 12:32 pm

Sorry, i have looked for a tutorial in this forum and using google, but i don't succeed! Can help me in installing Newton? I have to use it on ogre-engine using ogrenewton.

I only have to copy Newton.h, dAnimation, dCustomJoints, JointLibrary.h, dContainers, dMathin in /usr/include/ and libNewton.so libNewton.a in /usr/lib? Or what?

I'm sorry for my bad English and for the newbie question! I hope someone can help me! Happy Easter!

That should be all you need, although I would put the files in /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/include, as I believe the local directory is generally used for user-installed software.
