hi all, I am a starter here and I started by having problem opening the tutorial...
ok, i use visual studio 2003 and when i open the tutorial and i try to rebuild it, i get this error for each project(I'm writing only the first):
Tutorial_101_GettingStarted error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Pre-Build Event..."
do you have any idea what's going wrong??

watching the output of the error i saw that the decription of the error is that:
Performing Pre-Build Event...
C:\NewtonTutorials\bin\x32\JointLibrary.dll -> C:\NewtonTutorials\bin\x32\JointLibrary.dll
File cannot be copied onto itself
0 File(s) copied
Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Pre-Build Event..."
have you any ideas what to do?

I keep hearing that people can no build the tutorials, and I think it is because they do not set the enviroment variable wher eto search fo teh newton libraries
In my systme I ste ot to this
NEWTON_HOME=C:\Newton_200\NewtonSDK\sdk
Basically you nee to downloads the latest Newton SDK and set an enviromnet variable name NEWTON_HOME to point to wher eteh newton engoen an dSDK are in you disk.

It would be better if the Tutorials came with the SDK, then there would be no need to set anything as everything would always be in the same relative folders.
