Penumbra Overture is now open-source

Postby Yezide » Fri May 14, 2010 10:19 am

Just wanted to notify all that Penumbra Overture is now open source! Since penumbra uses Newton for physics it might be of special interest to people here. Notable stuff are things like e a custom character collider, a sound effect system (for sliding, collisions, etc) and a quite complex (entirely physics based) interaction system. It might also be helpful for general implementation of Newton into a game/engine.

The source code can be gotten here:
http://github.com/FrictionalGames

And more information can be found here:
http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/201 ... ource.html

I hope this will be of use to somebody :)
