Beginers Question

Postby Vallisk » Sun Jan 30, 2011 5:33 pm

Hi all,
I've only recently gotten into programming as a hobbie and have a question about newton. ive managed to work through the first few tutorials and i was wandering if there is any way to change the gravity in a level to resemble gravition, ie, if i create 2 objects, one with a larger mass than the other and i wanted the smaller one to be attracted to the larger, are there any methods i could use in newton that would make this easier?

thanks your your time guys :)

you can, but applicy the firne i sthe force and truque call back.
however I must say that physics engenes are not really very good for solving all bodies celestial simulations.

Physics engine are made to solve the problems of small rigid bodies, celestial bodies are very, very big bodies at very large distances from each other.
The errors generated by a simple physics engine are just too big for that sinc eteh grabitaional forces are hightly non linear.
