[Solved]Stop level object moving when bumped into?

Postby ianhfar » Thu Jan 12, 2012 12:38 pm

How do a I stop my level ( a collision object ) moving when a object collides with it.

I have tried setting the level object's mass to a large number, but it still reacts to a collision with a almost massless object.

is there any way of fixing an object but obviously allow it to receive collisions.

you can do everything you want, but setting the mass like that will not help.
what are you doing?

I was using compound collision with a large mass set. I set this mass to infinite eg. '0' and this fixed the problem.
BUT, the proper fix is to use Tree collision for my static level ( world) object.

I do not understand the question, can you rephrase it?

that is not a good idea. lareg masses craete poor converge in teh solver.
