Oh sorry, my mistake.
The ray cast will generate one hit per shape.
the data you get is an array of pairs [body, collision]
most dynamics bodies will has only one shape, so for those you get one body per hit,
but compound and scene collisions you should get as many hit as sub shapes are intersected by the ray. I will verify that.

can you tell me what it is that you want to do? the ray cast should provide all the information that you need.

I think it probably does now that I know what to expect. I was preparing for a situation where I would cast looking for a body but another body might be in the way and I wanted to ignore the body that is in the way.
