Core vs Custom Constraints

Postby jamesm6162 » Mon Aug 17, 2015 10:54 am

Hi Julio

What method of joint/constraint creation is recommended in your latest versions of Newton?
Looking through the code I have noticed that there are the core constraint classes such as dgBallConstraint etc. as well as the custom joints in dJointLibrary.

However the dJointLibrary are all based on the dgUserConstraint, even the custom hinge, ball etc. joints that already have an existing core implementation.

Is the dJointLibrary meant to completely replace the core dg** constraints eventually?

Thanks

James

dJoint superseded the internal joints since 1.53
the build in joint are still there for compatibility only
