What is the most recent and stable version for production?

Postby drawtree » Tue Sep 25, 2012 3:32 am

Hello.

I'm re-visiting this forum about an year past.
I tried to make core 300 iOS binary with supplied build script, but it was impossible. Even Mac OS X version was not successful with dependency to Qt and TinyXML. I tried patchwork on supplied Xcode project with Qt framework, but the project was lacking some source code files. I tried several revisions and finally made a conclusion that core 300 is not yet ready for production.

So I decided to go back to core 200. What is the recent/stable/recommend version for the final production use?

Is it still 2.33 SDK? But I see 2.35 and 2.36 contains many bug fixes. Or should I try core 300? And what is the difference between core 200 and 300/301?

in mac I can not compile the GUI, because ther is no port for Mac, but the engine library does build.
I am planning to make a native OS10 sanbox demos, but I am still working on the basic features set of the engine.
The GUI is not QT, is Fox

Thanks for reply.
I will pick a revision of core 300 and try again.

For what it's worth, the latest in the SVN repo has been compiling fine for me on Linux 32 and 64 bit.

But the convex cast is not implemented yet in the latest core300 svn. I doubt core300 is productively usable for what once was possible with newton 2.x

Carli I said I had to temporally comment out the convex cast because I am re enabling continue collision.
